Project Management Internship
Support the documents, schedules, and reporting behind an active demolition project, working beside the people who run it.
The role
About this internship
Project Management interns support an active demolition project from its field office. You will help with daily reporting, submittal checks, schedule updates, and project documents, and you will see how a project moves from mobilization to closeout.
Where you will work
An active demolition project field office or mobile project office. Project locations change, and the assignment may involve travel.
Your work
What you will work on
- Draft daily progress reports from facts the superintendent provides
- Check submittal attachments against a checklist and log what is missing
- Mark actual progress against the project schedule for the project manager to review
- Label and organize field photos by date, location, and activity
Your mentor chooses the tasks that fit the project or department, so assignments vary.
Learning
What you will learn
- How a project moves through its life and who is on the team
- Safe field observation and daily reporting
- Document registers and organized project files
- Meeting minutes, action tracking, and schedule basics
When the project allows
- Observe a mobilization or a pre-bid walk
- Sit in on a project meeting with your mentor
- See closeout and inspection documentation

Support
How the internship works
This is a paid, temporary summer assignment. Pay, dates, and assignment location are confirmed in a written offer.
Positions open as our projects and departments need them, so not every area is filled each summer. Applying does not guarantee an interview, a placement, or later employment.
A mentor guides you
A primary mentor sets your goals, checks in with you every week, and reviews your progress at the midpoint and at the end.
A supervisor each workday
A named supervisor gives you each day’s assignments and makes sure you know where you may work.
Safety comes first
You complete required orientation before you start. You never operate equipment or enter restricted areas without authorization and training.
Real work, reviewed
You contribute to real tasks. A supervisor checks your work before it goes anywhere else, and you keep approved examples that are safe to share.
